Class #9 Followup

The interpretation that I most agree with is paraSITE that was invented by Michael Rakowitz. I find it so nice that he went out of his way to make something as impressive as this. He not only thought of himself but he thought of other people that do not have a home or don't get that kind of heat or air they need in order to survive. I also enjoy the way that he made it work. It can be put to be inflated by any side of a building, so that the homeless don't really have to search far to put it up. I think he has a done a great job investing his time to help others. It's a wonderful gesture.

Class #11 Symbolizing your Society

This is banner for the society I created with my two other group mates. It depicts the relationship between robots an humans that are in our society. How much we get along and that not only so we control the robots but they can also stand for themselves. The green around is also represents the environment and greeny feel we have in our society.

Class #11 Followup Questions

1.
Holbein, Hans /Younger/ Sir Thomas More,  oil on canvas, 1527

I believe that this painting is iconic because it is based on someone who is well-known. He was someone very famous so if someone had this painting hanging in their home, people would see it and think "wow he was so famous, this painting is iconic".

2.
 Yves Klein, Anthropometry ANT 85, 1960. 155.5 x 352.5cm.
(body prints of female models painted with his universal blue)

This painting to me is symbolic and indexical because it symbolizes women. It is body prints of females. It is also indexical because you can see the relationship between the models that were used for and the painting.

3.

I think that this image is symbolic because it represents love. This symbol is used a lot throughout the world, when on a social network when texting someone. I know many people who use it to represent love. For example, "I <3 You".

4.

                                                  Francesca Woodman,  35 mm Photograph

This photograph to be is indexical and iconic to me because you don't know but you can somewhat tell that there is a relationship between the lady sitting down and the women jumping. It is iconic because it looks like a photograph that has a lot of meaning behind it and because of how old it looks.
